Shared Responsibility

Shared Responsibility is when a home education parent and a school authority agree to share responsibility for the student’s education. With Shared Responsibility, BCS@Home’s distance education teachers provide the teacher-directed portion of the program, including planning, resource selection, instructional delivery, assessment and evaluation of student progress for the selected distance education courses. A BCS@Home facilitator visits twice each year to assess the parent-directed, Traditional Home Education portion of the student’s learning, and provides ongoing support, feedback and assistance to the family as requested. The degree to which parents are assisting with the teacher-directed portion will vary depending on their child’s age, learning needs and grade level.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1710956288422{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]
