Late Registration, Course Changes and Program Changes
After September 29, Alberta Education no longer provides funding for student program changes; therefore, families are responsible for all associated costs. BCS@Home has an internal deadline for changes to be completed by the second Thursday in September. After this date, a $100 administrative fee/student is applied to all program and course changes.
The total payment for changes is due upfront before the changes are processed.
Parent-Directed Home Education Late Registration Fees

Teacher-Directed Program Late Registration Fees
(print-based, online and shared responsibility)

| Student drops below 35 credits by dropping courses beyond the second Thursday of September | Families will pay the difference to BCS@Home based on AB ED funding ($145/credit) |
Please Note: If a family switches from Home Ed to Shared/PB/ON, the student is no longer eligible for 100% Home Education reimbursement funding. Program funding will be recalculated based on the parent-directed and teacher-directed program percentages for the student’s new program (Shared, Print-Based, or Online). Families will be required to complete an Alberta Education Transfer of Parental Funding form.
Full Teacher-Directed Program Late Registration Fees
Parents will pay the government-funded portion of $6000 that BCS@Home will not receive due to enrolling after September 29th, and the program fees.
